How it works
Set up in a minute
Open Party Night on your TV. A room code and a QR code appear on the screen.
Everyone scans the QR code. Or they type the address shown on the TV. Each player enters a nickname, and there is no app to install.
The host presses Start. On their phone, or with OK on the TV remote.
Phones join over the internet, so they can use Wi-Fi or mobile data. The TV needs an internet connection too.
The game
A night in Hollowmere
Party Night is set in the village of Hollowmere, at the edge of the Thornwood, under a full harvest moon. A hidden pack of werewolves hunts at night, and by day the village argues out loud about who to trust.
Night
Everyone acts in secret on their phone. The wolves agree on a victim, and village roles use their powers. Players with no power still make a private pick, so nobody can tell who has one.
Dawn
The TV announces who did not survive the night and reveals their role, unless the host has turned role reveals off.
Day
Talk it out in the room. Everyone votes on who goes on trial, the accused makes their case, and the room votes Guilty, Innocent or Abstain.
The end
The village wins by banishing every werewolf and every killer. The wolves win once they equal or outnumber everyone else. A few roles play only for themselves.
The game balances the mix of roles for the size of your group. The village has the Seer, the Healer, the Huntsman and the Tavernkeeper among others. The pack can include the Alpha Wolf and the Hexer. The Jester, the Headsman, the Hermit and the Reaper each want something of their own.
The host chooses the pace, whether roles are revealed when someone dies, and whether to play with Omens: strange nights that bend one rule, announced on the TV before anyone acts.
