What this website and our TV games collect, why, and what you can do about it.

Last updated 4 October 2026

In short. Our TV games have no accounts and no analytics. Tumblesky on the TV shows our own house ads and, once we switch a partner on, may show short video ads from an advertising partner in the United States, with no advertising identifier sent. The browser version of Tumblesky shows no ads today; once Google ads are on, Google's consent message comes first in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland. The rest of this website loads nothing from other sites. We do not sell personal information.

Who we are

Holoware Studio is a one-person studio in New Zealand that makes games for the TV. On this page, "we" and "us" mean Holoware Studio. This policy covers the website at holoware.net, Tumblesky on the TV and in your browser, and Party Night. You can reach us at support@0h.nz.

This website

  • We set no cookies of our own and use no analytics, tracking pixels, social buttons or embedded videos. Its fonts and images come from our own server. Once Google ads run on the Tumblesky browser version, Google may set cookies on holoware.net, and your browser may send them with any request to this site.
  • Like any website, our server receives your IP address and the details of each request so that it can send you the page. It does not keep a log of visits. If the server hits an error, its system log may record the failed request, which we use only to fix the problem, and that log is kept briefly.
  • There are no forms. If you email us, we use your address and message only to reply, and keep the conversation for as long as it helps us support you.

Tumblesky on the TV

Tumblesky has no accounts and no analytics about you. Your level progress and settings stay on your TV.

Ads on the TV

  • Between levels the game shows house ads, our own cards about Remove ads or about our other game. They are built into the game, load nothing from other sites and collect nothing.
  • Once we switch a partner on, in the United States only, a break can be a short video ad from an advertising partner. Before we do, we name the partner on this page with a link to its own privacy policy. None is switched on today.
  • The partner's server receives your TV's internet address, as any website would, along with the game's name and version, the TV's browser identification, the language and the size of the screen. We send no advertising identifier, no device ID, no location and nothing about you. Ads are never personalised, and we ask partners to treat the request as non-personalised with limited tracking.
  • Partner ads are not shown in the European Union, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland. A TV in those places never contacts an ad network.
  • The game sends our server daily counts of plays and failures for each ad. With them go the country, the TV operating system version, the screen resolution and the app version. They carry no identifier, no time finer than a day, and we do not store your IP address or browser identification with them.

Remove ads on the TV

Remove ads is an optional purchase of USD 1, paid on your phone through Stripe, so the TV never sees your card. To make it work, our server keeps:

  • a one-way hash of a random key your TV makes for itself, and the short codes shown on your TV. Unused codes are deleted within a week.
  • one record for each purchase: the payment reference, the amount and whether it is still active, so your TVs can restore it. The restore code shown in Settings turns ads off on another TV or after a reinstall, on up to five TVs.
  • if you choose to remember the purchase on your TV, a one-way hash of the TV's device ID.

Stripe collects your card details and an email address for your receipt under its own privacy policy. In our Stripe account we can see the amount, the date, the receipt and the email address you gave, but never your full card number. We use these only to answer support and refund requests and to keep the business records New Zealand law requires. The Tumblesky privacy page has the game's own summary.

Tumblesky in your browser

The browser version at holoware.net/tumblesky/play/ is the same game. It has no accounts and no Remove ads purchase. The browser version shows no ads today. The rest of this section describes what happens once Google ads are switched on.

  • Your level progress and settings are saved in your browser's own storage on your device, which the game needs in order to remember them. We never receive them. Clearing your browser's site data deletes them.
  • Once Google ads are switched on, a break between levels can be an ad from Google AdSense H5 Games Ads, or a house ad of our own. The ad code comes from Google, so Google then receives your IP address and the details your browser sends with any request.
  • Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites.
  • Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to our visitors based on their visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
  • You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings at https://adssettings.google.com. You can opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at https://www.aboutads.info.
  • Google explains how it uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
  • Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland will be shown Google's consent message when they open the game, before it uses advertising cookies or personalised ads, and can change their choice at any time. The game ignores your keys while the message is open.

The browser version is separate from the TV app, which sends no data to Google.

Party Night

Party Night has no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no cookies. While a game room is open, its server holds the nickname each player chooses, the avatar the game assigns, the room code, the answers players submit and a random device ID, all in memory. It uses connection IP addresses only to limit abusive traffic. Everything is deleted when the room closes, and nothing is written to disk. The Party Night privacy policy has the full details.

Where data is processed

This website and the servers for both games run on Amazon Web Services in Sydney, Australia. Stripe processes payments in its own systems under its own policy. Google processes the data of the browser version's ads in its own systems under its own policy.

Sharing

We do not sell personal information. It is shared only with the services named on this page: Amazon Web Services for hosting, Stripe for payments, Google for ads in the browser version and, once we switch one on, a TV advertising partner named above.

Children

Our games are made for adults and families to play together. They are general audience games, not directed to children under 13. We never ask anyone for their age, name or contact details in a game, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you think a child has sent us personal information, email us and we will delete it.

Your rights

Under New Zealand's Privacy Act 2020 you can ask to see the personal information we hold about you and to have it corrected. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you also have rights under data protection law there, including asking us to delete your information or to stop using it. Email support@0h.nz and we will reply within 20 working days. If you are not happy with our answer, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner in New Zealand, or to the data protection authority where you live.

Changes to this policy

When anything changes, including before we switch on a TV advertising partner, we will update this page and the date at the top.
